Unwanted Plugins Remover

Description

With this plugin you can remove unwanted plugins on a WordPress core upgrade process. Unwanted plugins are for example Akismet or Hello Dolly. Both plugins are default values and will be removed on each core upgrade process. You can extend the list with a filter named unwanted_plugins_list.

  1. Upload unwanted-plugins-remover to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‚Plugins‘ menu in WordPress

Removes the plugin also activated plugins?

No!

Is the plugin Multisite ready?

Yes and no. If all your sites/blogs don’t want the plugin then yes, if not you will have a problem.

Removes them in deed

In all WordPress versions lower than 3.2, the removal of Hello Dolly and Akismet worked fine. In newer versions, this plugin might not be needed any longer, but I am not sure.
